Acceptance

By using studista, you agree to use the service responsibly and in accordance with these terms.

User accounts

Users must provide accurate information, keep account access secure, and use studista only for lawful research-related purposes.

• Notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
• Use studista only for lawful, research-related activity.

Research ethics

Researchers are responsible for ethical study design and participant treatment.

• Comply with applicable research, privacy, and institutional guidelines.
• Obtain required ethics committee approvals where applicable.
• Respect participant privacy and avoid unnecessary collection of sensitive data.
• Use studista for lawful research or closely related purposes.
• Do not collect sensitive data without proper authorization and consent.

Participant rights

Participants should understand study requirements before submitting data.

• Participants may stop participation where the study process allows it.
• Participants may request deletion or correction of account data as permitted by law.
• Participants can manage profile information used for matching.
• Participants can report study or studista concerns to support.

Data ownership

Researchers are responsible for the studies they create and the exported data they use. Participants retain rights granted by applicable privacy law.

Wallets, tokens, and payouts

Where enabled, studista may provide platform tokens for researcher top-ups and participant rewards. Tokens are an internal accounting mechanism for study rewards and are not a general-purpose stored value product.

• Top-ups and payouts are available only in enabled countries, currencies, methods, and provider routes.
• Users must activate the wallet by choosing their country of residence and accepting wallet terms. The residence country is locked and can be changed only through admin review with a reason and supporting evidence.
• Participants who complete a rewarded study without an activated wallet may be ineligible to receive that wallet reward. Researchers must reserve the configured reward budget before paid studies can run.
• Payment providers may apply their own terms, verification checks, limits, fees, risk reviews, settlement timing, and country restrictions.
• Users must provide accurate billing, tax, payout, and profile information before using payment features.
• Payout estimates and timing are informational until confirmed by the configured provider and internal review.
• studista may delay, reject, reverse, or adjust wallet activity when required for fraud prevention, legal compliance, chargebacks, refunds, sanctions, provider errors, or platform misuse.

Prohibited conduct

studista must not be used in ways that harm users, research integrity, or service reliability.

• Violate laws, regulations, or institutional policies.
• Infringe intellectual property or other rights.
• Upload malicious files or abusive content.
• Interfere with service operation, security, or availability.
• Impersonate another person or organization.
• Use studista for unrelated data harvesting or spam.

Service availability

We aim to keep studista reliable, but availability may vary during maintenance, incidents, or product updates.

Limitation of liability

studista is provided to support research. Users remain responsible for their study plans, required approvals, and use of data files.

Indemnification

Users agree to be responsible for claims arising from misuse of studista or violation of these terms.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms as studista changes. Continued use means acceptance of the updated terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if users violate these terms or create risk for participants, researchers, or studista.

Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
